Way to create product variants (options strict=1, options none = 2, mixed = 3)

Variant is a form of product that differs in some respect from other forms of the same product.
With OLALA Shopping Cart you can build your variants in three ways and here you customize your website to build the variants in the way you want:

  • Creating the variants by using Options. Paring option names with option values you build your variants. This is the classic way of building variants for ecommerce websites. The listings can be displayed as dropdowns menus. Easy sorting of all products based on a specific option value. (see more details in Options area)
  • Creating the variants freely. It is suitable for businesses which want to import their products directly from accounting (MYOB). You will have to write the variant specifics manually. (see more details in Variants area)
  • Mixed is referring to use a combination of the two ways above: you create part of your variants using options and the other part of variants using the free style. (see more details in Options and Variants area)

Based on your preference, you will customize your website to make it easy and productive. Write in the text field of this setting:
Write 1 if you intend to use Options;
Write 2 if you use Variants by manually naming them; or
Write 3 if you create part of your variants using Options and the other part of Variants using the free style.

To setup or change this setting, click the Edit button. Add or alter the input in pop-up window. Click the Update button to make the change and close the pop-up window or click the Cancel button to abandon changes.
