Settings & layout - Product request quote

Product request quote area is about customizing:

  • to appear or not the Quote Request tab in product details
  • to appear or not Ex-factory option in Quote Request
  • the emails sent from Quote Request area

To setup or change a setting, click the Edit button in line with that setting. A pop-up window will open to allow you to input your data.
The window has as title Edit setting to let you know you are in edit zone. Also this window always points out the Area and the Name of the setting you are going to change. The main point of this window is to allow you to write your details in regards with current setting. This is the only editable field. Add or make here the changes you need.
The editable fields in this area are: text fields, radio buttons controllers and text editors.
Click the Update button to make the change or click the Cancel button to abandon changes. The Update button and Cancel button will close the setting window and update the list accordingly.
The Close button (top right corner) has same result as Cancel has.


Enable product quote request (show Quote Request tab in product details)

In case does fits your business, you can enable the Quote Request tab to be shown in Product details page (FRONTEND).
The Quote Request it will be helpful in case is a request from a government organization, usually for volume buy. It may be the case for very expensive items as well or even you provide prices only to possible buyers.
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that the Quote Request tab to be shown in Product details page (FRONTEND). To fine tune the products which have to have this tab, you can display / hide it at product level from Basic information. For more detail see Products -> Basic details section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to not display the Quote Request tab in any of the products. The Show [Quote Request] tab: in Basic detail under Products will not appear as well.

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Show [Ex-factory] in Quote Request tab

In case you can sell Ex-factory this is very useful as prices negotiation may give you more flexibility.
It will appear in Quote Request form and default answer will be NO. The user have to choose yes himself to make things clear.
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
If checked Yes - means that the Ex-factory option will be displayed on Quote Request form in Quote Request tab (FRONTEND).
If checked No - means that the Ex-factory option will not be displayed on Quote Request form.

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Product quote request - email subject

This setting is about the subject line in emails sent when the Quote Request was submitted.
It will appear in subject line of all the emails sent regarding with a Quote Request: the user emails and replay emails.
The editable field is text field.

To setup or change this setting, click the Edit button. Add or alter the input in pop-up window. Click the Update button to make the change and close the pop-up window or click the Cancel button to abandon changes.


Admin - generated code prefix

In case you use the Code generator, you can specify a prefix for the code. See also Admin - show [generate code].
The code generator will appear when editing Variants, at right of the field where the code should be filled.
Write in the field provided the prefix (letter or numbers followed by dash symbol) you want your code for variants to have. This setting has an general effect; all the codes will start with this prefix. It is optional to be setup.
The editable field is text field.

Product quote request - email top line

Customize here the message you want to send to each user which requests a quote.
The message will appear at the top of the email. Under the message will be displayed the details he sent through Quote Request form.
Write in the field provided the message you want to receive the user after submitting the Quote Request. It is an automated email.
Example of such email: "Your quote request was sent. Please find details below:"
The editable field is text field.

Product quote request - ending line

The website automatically send out email to users when they submit a Quote Request.
In "ending line" you input the text you want to appear at the bottom of the email templates received by user when submits a Quote Request.
The "ending line" text will appear in all automated emails sent by the system when a Quote Request form is submitted and is located on the bottom of these emails. This message will explain the way your company handles the Quote Requests.
Example of "ending line" message: "You will get our replay as soon as it is possible. / Thank you for using Olala Agency website. "

The input area for this setting is a text editor to allow you to format the message. You can write on more than one line.

Product quote request - signature area

The website automatically send out email to users when they submit a Quote Request.
In "signature area" you input the text you want to appear at the bottom of the Quote Request email templates as form of email sign off.
The "signature area" text will appear in all automated emails sent by the system regarding submitting of Quote Requests and is located on the bottom of these emails.
Example of "signature area" message: " Regards / Customer Service. "

The input area for signature is a text editor to allow you to format the email sign off if applicable. You can write on more than one line.

Product quote request - TO email address (website owner)

Set the email where you want to receive the quote requests.
You may want to separate the quote request from other emails or you may delegate a person to follow them up. You can choose the email address where these emails are received.
The editable field is text field.

To setup or change this setting, click the Edit button. Add or alter the input in pop-up window. Click the Update button to make the change and close the pop-up window or click the Cancel button to abandon changes.
