Settings & layout - Products

Products area is about customizing the backend interface of the edit products section. You can customize to show or hide fields in Basic details and Variant edit areas. Using these switches will make your work easier when managing the products.

The customizations made in these area can be reversed at any time.

To setup or change a setting, click the Edit button in line with that setting. A pop-up window will open to allow you to input your data.
The window has as title Edit setting to let you know you are in edit zone. Also this window always points out the Area and the Name of the setting you are going to change. The main point of this window is to allow you to write your details in regards with current setting. This is the only editable field. Add or make here the changes you need.
The editable fields in this area are: text fields and radio buttons controllers.
Click the Update button to make the change or click the Cancel button to abandon changes. The Update button and Cancel button will close the setting window and update the list accordingly.
The Close button (top right corner) has same result as Cancel has.


Product entry page - show only brands

The products page in FRONTEND can be customized to display the brands logos.
The products page is displayed when the user click on Products option from the top menu (main menu in frontend).
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display only the brands logos in Products page. To use this setting you must upload the brand logos. For more detail see Brand section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the brand logos in Products page (FRONTEND).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) brands

In case you sell products manufactured by you, you may want to hide the brand field. This setting is about showing or hiding the brands field into Basic details (product edit, BACKEND).
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the brands field in Basic details (from edit product). For more detail see Brand section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the brand field in Basic details (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) product code ( as a container of variants)

This setting enables you to set codes at product level.
This setting is about showing or hiding the code field into Basic details (product edit, BACKEND). This code together with the individual variants codes will complete the unique identifier code for each item.
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the product code field in Basic details (from edit product). For more detail see Basic details section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the product code field in Basic details (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) product variant code

This setting is about showing or hiding the variant code field into Variants (product edit, BACKEND).
The product (variant) code is an unique identifier assigned to each finished product which is ready for sale.
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the variant code field in Variants (from edit product). For more detail see Variants section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the variant code field in Variants (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) product (variant) supplier code

This setting is about showing or hiding the supplier code field into Variants (product edit, BACKEND).
The supplier code can be very handy when you need to re-stock.
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the supplier code field in Variants (from edit product). For more detail see Variants section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the supplier code field in Variants (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) supplier currency and price

This setting is about showing or hiding the supplier currency and price fields into Variants (product edit, BACKEND).
The supplier currency and price fields will be a very useful feature when the variant efficiency and price are computed.
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the supplier currency and price fields in Variants (from edit product). For more detail see Variants section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the supplier currency and price fields in Variants (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) unit measure

This setting is about showing or hiding the unit measure field into Basic details (product edit, BACKEND).
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the unit measure field in Basic details (from edit product). For more detail see Basic details section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the unit measure field in Basic details (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Use (enable) product model

This setting is about showing or hiding the product model field into Basic details (product edit, BACKEND).
The editable field is a radio buttons control.
- If checked Yes - means that you want to display the product model field in Basic details (from edit product). For more detail see Basic details section.
- If checked No - means that you choose not to display the product model field in Basic details (from edit product).

The edit window will close automatically after you choose your answer. In case you did a mistake, edit again and choose the correct answer. The setting will be updated automatically.


Out of stock label (item cannot be ordered)

Customize the message displayed for items which run out of stock. They are still listed into the website because they are in process of being re-stoked. Nobody can buy until stock arrives.
It appears on items which run off of stock for the moment being.
The editable field is text field.

To setup or change this setting, click the Edit button. Add or alter the input in pop-up window. Click the Update button to make the change and close the pop-up window or click the Cancel button to abandon changes.


Back order label (stock <= 0)

Customize the message displayed for items that get close to zero, but backorders are allowed. This message will tell to your customer that delays in delivery may be expected.
The message will appear on items with low stock or a quantity bigger than existing stock was ordered.
The editable field is text field.

To setup or change this setting, click the Edit button. Add or alter the input in pop-up window. Click the Update button to make the change and close the pop-up window or click the Cancel button to abandon changes.


Items left if stock <= stock min. Leave empty to do not show it

Customize the shop to fits your business. You may choose to let your customers know about your limited stock when the stock reach the minim stock setup for an item.
The message will appear on each item that is under the minimum stock setup by you at the variant level. See also Variants section.
Example of such message that will be followed by the number of item in stock: "Quantity in stock:"
If you do not to display any message when the stock reached the minim, leave empty these field.
The editable field is text field.
